 Hello

I’m Julie Blint, a communication, professional skills and emotional intelligence coach with a background in psychology, communication, sociology, and political communication. I’ve worked in institutional and professional environments where how you speak, listen, and respond has real consequences.

My work is shaped by experience in coaching, leadership, and professional communication settings. I work internationally and with many non-native English speakers, so clarity and precision matter.

I chose coaching because I believe in giving people tools they can use independently, not creating dependency.

 My Story

Behind all the labels or info I could tell you about what I do and what I could do for you, I prefer to speak about something else.

Let’s see, I’m a woman with mixed genetic, cultural and life experiences. I’ve moved around so much I don’t feel I’m from a specific place. Perhaps I’ve always felt like an outsider, but this has given me advantages as well.

My mixed heritage and living in different cultures has helped me see what is me and what is society. It’s helped me observe, identify and think of creative solutions.

Even from a young age I could see what wasn’t working and wanted to do something proactive to be part of the solution. I studied Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, Political Marketing, Communication and more recently Professional Coaching, Emotional Intelligence Coaching, Life Coaching, Counselling and now I'm on my way to get my European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) accreditation with Coaching Minds on their Coach Practitioner Level 5 Diploma in Transformational Coaching.

I suppose I’ve always been pulled between poles: social psychology, communication and politics.

I worked in the Italian parliament as a communication consultant and foreign liaison, where I thought I could help bring the concerns of the people and my unique outsiders perspective to powerful people. I also took part in British politics, campaigning and training.

I grew frustrated with what I saw, so after an interlude as a Director in the private sector, I decided to focus on coaching. Although I love psychology, I was always reticent to become a psychologist and now I’m glad of that. I prefer coaching people rather than looking at what caused or is causing people’s issue. In coaching I can focus on giving people tools and skills to solve their issues or help them achieve their goals.

I started out coaching businesspeople as I thought I could reach people that wouldn’t necessarily go to a psychologist or coach otherwise. They are parents, partners and people with private lives that need solutions too.

I've decided that the best ways to utilise my skills (I’m good at putting people at ease, communicating diplomatically, getting people to open up, emotional intelligence, inspiring people and building community), is to focus on communication coaching, emotional Intelligence, as well as continuing to coach businesspeople and leaders in these areas and more.

My purpose is: Inspiring people to improve, live more authentically and foster communities and support networks.

In the future I hope to set up meetings where we can discuss the issues of today and look at what we can do to make the world a better place.
